    WHY URUGUAY?

    FAQS & COVID-19

    WHY URUGUAY?

South America’s smallest country is stable, safe and culturally sophisticated. Uruguayans are of predominantly European origin, with some descendants of indigenous and African peoples. Montevideo is the capital with a population of over 1 million. This very film friendly city offers a perfect blend of classic and contemporary locations, top bi-lingual crews, studios and equipment houses. With Buenos Aires close by any additional needs for talent, crew or equipment are easily within reach.

The Uruguayan landscape is largely characterized by gently rolling land, with an average elevation of about 383 feet. Tidal lakes and sand dunes fringe the vast coastline. Punta Del Este, known as South America’s Riviera, offers visiting productions beautiful white sand beaches, luxury hotels and seaside mansions. Uruguay doubles well for a variety of international locations including Old Havana, Paris, London, Germany, the Caribbean, Italy and Ireland.

Throughout the country, temperatures rarely fall below freezing and range from 50° to 60° F during winter from June to September. During summer (December to March) temperatures range from 70 to° 82° F.
