    WHY SOUTH AFRICA?

    WHY SOUTH AFRICA?

    WHY SOUTH AFRICA?

South Africa offers dramatic landscapes with diverse looks including lush wineries, farmland, sandy beaches and rocky cliffs. While the locations are plentiful, the monetary incentives for production keep film crews coming back. South Africa is known for superb local crew, state of the art equipment and highly competitive talent deals. With opposing seasons to North America, long shoot days and warm weather can be found from November to March.

The South African government offers an incentive to co-productions filmed in the country in order to support the local film industry. Feature films, tele-movies, television drama series, documentaries, and animation with a total production budget of R2.5 million and above may benefit.
